From getting off the bus there until grandma got home or being outside playing basketball with Chris and the kids all day during the summer. Mrs. May you really hurt me with this one. We are saddened about the passing of our dear friend Mrs. Mary Bookman. Mrs. Bookman and Mama (Doris Williams) were roommates at NHC for almost 1 year. Mama passed on 2 months before they made it 1 year, but in the short time that we've known Mrs. Bookman, we loved her! I thoroughly enjoyed spending a lot of special moments with her. She enjoyed walking and talking! I loved all the stories that she shared with me about her dear family, her working days and her church activities and family... She loved her family so very much. Mrs. Bookman was so protective of my mother because of her disabilities and we thank God for our paths crossing... God has received a beautiful soul and it is our prayer that the family of Mrs. Bookman will cherish the memories and to seek God for peace, strength and comfort in the days, weeks, months and years ahead.
