Christmas Day 2020 will be two months since the angels were dispatched to take you home. I understand it was your time my dear Betty and I know you are resting painlessly and peacefully in God’s arms. Yet, I still miss you and yearn to hear your happy voice and your smiling face! This is hard and I remember what you told me. Please know I am trying,
Your baby sister, Faye

Family: We were profoundly saddened over the news regarding Betty, "our Betty". Betty was Always a "Pillar of Support" for ALL of us. She always taught us to do our BEST and reach for the "Stars". We will miss her radiant smile, enthusiastic view of life, and the desire to always help and motivate others. May the God of All Comfort wrap his loving arms around each of you; giving all his support, love, and peace. We LOVE you all.

I am truly saddened to learn about the transition of Betty . As a proud graduate of the class of 1963 from Gallman High School, certainly there was a special bond. I extend to her family my heartfelt sympathy and pray that God will continue to strengthen you and shower you with His Mercy ,Grace ,and Favor.

Betty Jo was a wonderful friend. She lived her life giving to others. It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of her life. She loved her family, her friends, and her church. And she loved God with all her heart. Thank you, Betty Jo, for showing us a Christian in motion. We love you, and we will miss you. Until we meet again, Vicki and Joe

My dear hero-sister, mentor, and best friend always Betty. God guided your steps each day and your words and actions were always IAW His word. There is comfort in knowing you are peacefully resting in His arms of comfort, love, strength, and everlasting life. I wrote you a letter on August 15, mailed it with your masks and other items on August 16, and you fell on August 18. Our hearts, my heart cracked when I was told what had happened to you. I told you how much I love, respect, want, and need you in my life and nothing has changed since you are now at rest with Jesus. Yet, when you came to visit us your smiles, love, positivity, and strength was all I needed to repair the cracks in my heart. Our conversations were so good and you always reminded me to be strong and to always keep God first and as long as I did we will see each other again on the other side. I love you Betty, I always have...I always will. I will continue to talk to you daily bc I know you hear me and you are still looking out for me just from a better view. You taught me to tell the truth, to work hard, to do right, to fly high, and move forward. Thank you my dear sister, my love! Charli Sophia, William, and I love you.

I express my deepest sympathy to the family of Betty Jo Hill. I will forever cherish the fond memories and friendship that Betty and I shared for over 64 years, beginning in elementary school and extending to the present. I will always remember Betty as a “doer”. She was someone who gave so much of herself to others and to service. She was an individual who had a deep sense of love for family and the community. She showed so much love and kindness through her consistent service and genuine concern for others. There was no question that she always had a true love for God and a big loving Christian heart. Betty will be missed by her family, members of the community and so many others that she reached out to help. But, for me, Betty Jo will be remembered as a great friend.

To Odel and family: Joyce and I are so very sorry to hear of Betty's passing. Our sincere condolences are extended to you along with our prayers for strength and comfort as you deal with this horrific loss. Betty was a wonderful person who was all about serving and giving to others. Her commitment to God, Church, Family and Community was unquestionable and history will show from her unselfish service, the numerous lives she touched as well as the tremendous achievements made in the organizations of which she served so faithfully. I pray that you will find comfort in the words of our Lord in 1st Thessalonians 4:13-14 which reminds us "Not to be ignorant concerning those which are asleep, that we sorrow not as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him". So just know that Betty is now resting in the presence of God and is experiencing an eternal peace that only God can give. Be encouraged.
