Mrs. Betty Jo Glasgow Hill, a longtime resident of Newberry, South Carolina passed from earthly existence to her heavenly home on Sunday evening, October 25, 2020 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Odell Glasgow, Sr. and the late Ethel Lindsay Glasgow. She was a faithful member of Welch Zion Baptist Church where she served as the Chairperson of the Trustee Board. She attended Drayton Street Elementary School and was a graduate of Gallman High School class of 1963. She retired from Bank of America after 35 years of faithful service.
Mrs. Hill was predeceased by her husband, Ozzie B. (Mick Hill, brother, John Julius Glasgow and adopted brother, James Thomas (Dee Dee) Walker.
Surviving are two sisters, Barbara (Ronald) Means and Faye (William) Jennings; one brother, Odell Glasgow, Jr.; devoted friend, Johnny Brown, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A private family viewing will be held Friday morning, October 30, 2020 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside services for Mrs. Hill will be conducted on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11:00 am at Newberry Memorial Gardens. All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
