To the Family,
I am deeply sorry to hear of your loss. Losing my parent has been difficult for me. However, I found this scripture helpful. At 2 Cor 1:3,4 it says: “3Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;4Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”
One thing the Bible states that has helped is what Jesus said at John5:28,29: “28Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,29And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life;”
Hopefully these few texts can help your family during this time as it has for me.

Dear Chapman family. I am very sorry to have read of the recent death of your loved one, Willie. Please accept my sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be very comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28,29 and also at Revelation 21:3-5. These verses tell us that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our dear loved ones, as well as do away with all of the many causes we have for suffering, including sickness, pain & death. Knowing this has always comforted me and it is my hope that these thoughts will likewise comfort your family and will also ease some of your pain during this most difficult time in your lives.
