Thomas Berley Wise, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Berley Wise, Sr. will be conducted on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Lower Mt. Olive AME Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Wise passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at his home.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Virgil and Louvenia Wise.  He was a member of Lower Mt. Olive AME Church and Sons of Aide Lodge #14.

Mr. Wise was predeceased by his wife, Naomi Bookman Wise; sons, Howard Wise, James Jimmy Wise and Larry Lee Wise; daughters, Rillie Ann Wise and Lillie Mae Wise.

Surviving are daughters Jessie Davenport Hawkins (Henderson), Mary Lee Wise, Beatrice Wise, Mattie Wise, Thomasina Longshore (Michael) and Anna Kay Wise all of Prosperity, SC; sons, Thomas B. Wise, II of Prosperity, SC; William Lee Wise of Newberry, SC; Virgil Wise, Sr. (Betty) of Prosperity, SC; James Author Wise of Newberry, SC; Charles Jackson, John Elbert Jackson, James Lawrence Jackson and Earnest Jackson; sister, Nannie Wise of Prosperity, SC; 56 grandchildren, 97 great-grandchildren, devoted friend, Billy Shealy; six sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
