Thomas Ulysses Mathis

Mr. Thomas Ulysses Mathis, age 67, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 22, 2020 at Southern Oak Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Piedmont, SC.

Born in Newberry County, SC, he was the son of the late Willie Mathis and the late Earlene Jones Mathis.

Mr. Mathis served in the US Army.  He attended Belmont Baptist Church and Fellowship Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Cinnamon Mathis of Newberry, SC; son, Christopher Glymph of Newberry, SC; sister, Carrie Camack of Blair, SC; brothers, Johny J. Mathis and TJ Mathis, both of Newberry, SC; 2 sisters-in-law; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church.  The family request those in attendance to wear a mask or face covering and practice social distancing.
