Thomas Crooks, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Crooks, Jr., age 76, will be conducted on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery.

Mr. Crooks passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his home.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Thomas Crooks, Sr. and the late Alberta Suber Crooks.  He joined St. Mark AME Church at an early age and later join Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc.

Mr. Crooks was predeceased by a sister, Geneva Bishop.

Surviving are sisters, Mary Lee Love of Detroit, MI; Lillie Mae Washington of Newberry, SC; Daisy Lee Sligh of Thomasville, NC; Doris L. Matthews (Rev. Nura Ray) of Newberry, SC; brother, Robert Lee "Jack" Crooks (Mildred B.) of Newberry; niece reared in home, Shirley Crooks Suber (Jimmy) of Newberry, SC; uncle, James Suber; other relatives and friends.
