Shirley Jean (Cannon) Williams

Ms. Shirley Jean Williams, age 65, known by "Shug" to family and friends, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

Ms. Williams was born in Prosperity, South Carolina to the late Ollie Cannon and the late Mary Davenport Cannon.  She was a member of the Miracle Church of God in Christ in Clinton, SC.  She attended Newberry County Public Schools.

Ms. Williams was predeceased by a brother, Robert Lee Davenport and grandson, Bernard Williams, Jr.

She is survived by daughters, Felicia Williams of Newberry, SC, Jada Wise and Cherish Jackson (Adopted) both of the home; Brenisha Jackson; sons, Willie Williams of Newberry, SC, Bernard Williams, Trayvon Jackson (Adopted) and Clifton Long all of the home; sister, Lula Mae Robinson of Prosperity, SC; twenty grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, uncle Roosevelt Cannon, Sr., aunts, Pastor Willie L. Fant of Joanna, SC Annabelle Brown of Norristown, PA, Alice Rikard and Ada Mae Cannon both of Prosperity, SC,  daughter-in-law, Darlice Johnson-Williams, nieces, nephews, special son, James Jackson, and companion, Ralph Houston.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 12:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.  Viewing will be on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
