Nannie Lee Wise

Ms. Nannie Lee Wise, affectionately called "Granny Nannie" by many, 94, of Prosperity, SC, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2021, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Prosperity, SC , January 17, 1927, to the late Virgil and Louvenia Wise.

She was a member of Lever Chapel AME Church.  She was also a member of Ladies' Aide #108.  Ms. Nannie Lee Wise was a long time employee of the Lowman Home of
White Rock, SC, where she retired from. 

Her passions were cooking, talking to her family, watching TV and serving the Lord.  She loved the Lord with all of her heart and exhibited it mostly in her last days through her fight to never give up, and always trust in God's plan.  He biggest push was her family.  She prided herself on her four girls.

Ms. Wise was predeceased in death by her sons, Brady and Bennie Wise; brothers, Thomas Wise, William Pinkney, Clarence, Ulysses and Tony Wise, along with her sister Annie Mae Wise.

To cherish he memories she leaves behind one daughter-in-law, Mary Nell Wise of Prosperity, SC; granddaughters, Erika Tiffany Wise of Newberry, SC, and Christy Michelle Wise of Prosperity, SC; one great-granddaughter, April Danyelle Bowers of Prosperity, SC.  She was also loved and adored by her care giver, Traci Wise of Prosperity, SC; her loving church member and friend, Deborah Caldwell of Newberry, SC; devoted niece, Matilda Lindler of Prosperity, SC; and adopted daughter, Catherine Blair of Newberry, SC.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Lever Chapel AME Church.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
