Micheal "LaLa" Mathis

Funeral services for Mr. Micheal " LaLa" Mathis will be conducted on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. Mathis passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 in Newberry County, South Carolina.  Born in Newberry, South Carolina on May 4, 1984, he was the son of Collier Caldwell, Jr. and Darlene Mathis Harmon.  He received his education in Newberry County Public Schools.

Surviving are his girlfriend, Brittany Stroy of Newberry, SC; father, Collier Caldwell Jr. of Newberry, SC; his mother, Darlene Mathis Harmon of Columbia, SC; daughters, Shyann J.; McKinsley Grace and Ibreyon Wright, all of Newberry, SC; sons, Kruz Micheal Brown of Spartanburg, SC, Izavion Crumpton of Newberry, SC; sisters, Nicholette Wise of Newberry, SC and Brandy Mathis of Columbia, SC; grandmother Barbara J. Mathis;  Tawanda Jenningss who was reared in the home; 6 uncles, 10 aunts and a host of other relatives and friends.
