The family of Mary E. Graham  in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state, and local community, has decided to hold a private immediate family only  funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the family of Mary E. Graham would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding.

Celebrating the Life of Mary Elmer Graham

Mrs. Mary Elmer Graham joined her Heavenly Father of eternal life on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.  She  was born in Ninety-Six, South Carolina on May 23, 1928 to Robert and Ella Williams. Throughout her amazing life, she touched many people and she had a tremendous impact on people in the community and the church. She loved being a mother, a grandmother, a friend, and a matriarch.  Mary loved the Lord and was a lifelong member of Little River Baptist Church where she served as deaconess, Mother of the Church, Lady Aid Society member, and she was a committed member of the Little River Senior Choir. She served on the usher board and was a long time member of the missionary society.

Mrs. Mary E. Graham was predeceased in life by her late husband Mr. Dennis Graham, Sr.  and her son Dennis Graham, Jr. She is preceded in death by two sisters Daisy Ruth Jones and Ida Lee  Blackwell and by three brothers Roosevelt Williams, Robert Williams and Eddie Williams. 

She was known as the best seamstress around town and was employed by Damon International for approximately 30 years when she retired. She was able to partake in many hobbies such as sewing, baking, traveling, and serving the Lord.

Those left to cherish her memories are Molly Dawkins (Allen Dawkins), Charles Graham (Mary Graham), Ella Spears (James Spears deceased), Debra Bonnette (Jerome Bonnette), Beverly Johnson (Kalvin Johnson deceased), four sisters Carrie Bell Hall, Mary Butler (Louis Butler), Barbara Holmes (Marvin Holmes), Elease White, and one brother Willie B. Williams (Virginia Williams); and a special cousin Bell Harper. There are a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will cherish her memory.

As we celebrate Mary’s life, we wanted you to know that she will be remembered as a warrior for God, and she was a talented woman who had a gentle spirit and was always so kind. She lived an amazing life, and she was an extraordinary woman who was a matriarch in the community.  She will be greatly missed.
