Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Mae Butler Suber will be conducted on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at  11:00 AM at James Hopewell Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Suber was born November 08, 1922 in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Mamie Turner Bobo and Willie Butler. She departed this world on July 15, 2019.    Mrs. Suber was raised in Slater, South Carolina. She graduated Sterling High School in Greenville, SC.  She formerly lived in Columbia, S. C. She retired from Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital (Prisma Hospital). She became a member of James Hopewell Baptist Church at a young age. She belonged to a number of clubs and organizations including The American Legion Auxiliary 219 (where she served as Chaplin and many years as the President), Eastern Stars #460,  Women Home Aide Society # 61, and Home Benefit Society. She was a volunteer at Dorn VA Hospital for many years. She faithfully supported veterans causes and children missions.  She organized the first Newberry County Veteran’s Day Parade.   

Mrs. Suber was predeceased by three daughters, Margaret Elaine Suber, Carolina Tucker Suber Lewis and Joe Ann Suber Gray; one sister Frances Elizabeth Bobo and a brother, Bobby Mack Bobo.

She leaves to cherish a son, Philip T. Suber,  Jr. of Newberry, a daughter Barbara L. Suber Skinner (Elder Kevin Skinner) of Columbia, S C. 14 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, one sister in law Ann Bobo of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania , a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Special friends include the Moyer family of Massachusetts and the Blalock Family Of Oakland, California (her name sake Little Georgia Blalock), The Neal family of Newberry and others.
