Elmira (Kinard) Caughman

Funeral services for Mrs. Elmira Kinard Caughman, age 74, known by "Tot,", "Ma", "Grandma" , will be conducted on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 4:00 PM at Little Beaverdam Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in James Hopewell Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Caughman passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019 at Prisma Health Baptist at Parkridge.  Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Y. J. Kinard and the late Eloise Caldwell Kinard.  Mrs. Caughman attended Little Beaverdam Baptist church until her health declined.

Mrs. Caughman was predeceased by her husband, Robert Caughman.

Surviving are three daughters, Mary C. Sanders, Tracy C. Houston and Pamela Caughman; adopted son, William Pitts; sister, Debra Williams all of Newberry, SC; brother Ronnie Burton (Virginia) of Greenville, SC; three grandchildren reared in the home, Nanquanita Pitts, Robert Houston and Kendarious Houston; three great-grandchildren, Mason and Madison Sanders; Cain Jackson; adopted grandchildren, Amicia Wertz, Jalain Burton and Briasha Burton; nieces reared in the home, Alicia Burton Carter (Bobby) and Victoria Burton; three sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins that will miss her dearly.
