To the Family,
I am deeply sorry to hear of the death in your family. Going through this period in your life may cause a range of emotions. I also went through these same emotions when my father died. What helped me during his time was remembering the following.
The Bible states that “God is greater than our hearts and knows all things.” (1 John 3:20) He knows better than any human the factors and circumstances that may have contributed to your family members death. He also knows you—better than you know yourself. (Psalm 139:1-3) Thus, you can be confident that he understands what you are going through. When your grief seems overwhelming, recall the words of Psalm 55:22: “22Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee..”
I hope this helps your family as it has helped mine.

It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone we love. And when it happens, the thought of never again being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your loved one can be most difficult to bear. That pain is not necessarily erased by being told that your loved one is up in heaven. The Bible, however, holds out a much different hope. The Scriptures indicate that it is possible to be reunited with your dead loved one in the near future, not in an unknown heaven but right here on earth under peaceful, righteous conditions.

Jesus Christ boldly promised: “Just as the Father raises the dead up and makes them alive, so the Son also makes those alive whom he wants to. Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus’] voice and come out.” (John 5:21, 28, 29). Numbers 23:19 - reminds us that  God is not a mere man who tells lies, Nor a son of man who changes his mind. When he says something, will he not do it? When he speaks, will he not carry it out?Although you are grieving your mother's loss, keep in mind God's sure promise of the resurrection. You have my deepest sympathy.
