Bobby Gene Coleman

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby G. Coleman will be conducted on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 1:00 PM at White Plains Baptist Church on 1672 Lisbon Rd in Mountville, SC. Burial will follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC.

Mr. Coleman passed away on February 24, 2020 at White Oak Manor in Newberry, SC.   Born in Laurens, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Charlie Coleman and the late Harvie Bell Wright Coleman.  He served in the Army.  He was retired from Monsanto after 30 years.  

He was predeceased by a sister, Frances Calhoun and 3 brothers, T.C. Coleman, Lewie Coleman and John Coleman.

Surviving are his wife, Jerlean Hall Coleman; his daughter, LaKeisha McGowan (Daniel)of Irmo, SC; sons, Melvin Coleman and Kelvin Coleman, both of Greenville, SC , Bobby Coleman(Arbardella) of Fountain Inn, SC, Travis Coleman(Shermika) of Batesburg, SC and Parker Coleman(Andrea) of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Elma C. Morrison(Wilbert), Rev. Ruth C. Byrd (Jurell) and Marian Miller all of Laurens, SC; brothers, Eugene Coleman of Laurens, SC, Fred Coleman of Silver Spring, Maryland, Charles Coleman(Johnnie) of Laurens, SC and Willie C. Coleman(Gwendolyn) of Silver Spring, Maryland; 4 sisters-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law; 25 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
