Mildred Louise Pitts

Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Louise Pitts, age 93, will be conducted on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Hannah AME Church.  Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah AME Church.

Mrs. Pitts passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at her home.  Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Sammie Singley and the late Mamie Bobo Singley.  She was a member of Hannah AME Church, Hannah Burial Aid Society and Women's Home Aide Society #54.

Mrs. Pitts was predeceased by her husband, Senator Pitts, Jr.; a daughter, Brenda K. Pitts. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are three daughters, Belinda Elkins Brooks, Gail L. Pitts and Sandra L. Pitts; sons, Larry C. Pitts and Rodney S. Pitts all of Newberry, SC; nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, other relatives and friends.
