James Thomas Shelton, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. James T. Shelton, Jr., age 54, will be conducted on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Grove AME Church.  Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Shelton passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of Alberta J. Shelton and the late James T. Shelton, Sr.  He was a United States Army veteran.

Surviving are his mother, Alberta J. Shelton; daughters, Courtney Werts and Shawndrea Kinard both of Newberry, SC; Brittney George (Nicholas) of Lynchburg, VA; sons, Jarmal and Stetson Shelton of Newberry, SC; brothers, David Lee Shelton of Greenville, SC; Michael Shelton (Sandra) of Columbia, SC; six grandchildren, five aunts, three uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and several devoted friends.
