Paige Monique (Sanders) Felder

Paige Monique Felder transitioned on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Lexington Medical Center. Born In Columbia, South Carolina on November 8, 1985, she was the second of 3 children born to Laverne Sanders and Robert Gene Sanders, Jr.

Mrs. Felder attended Satchel Ford Elementary, Crayton Middle School, and A.C. Flora High School Class of 2003. In May of 2010, she graduated from Midlands Technical College in the Paralegal Program, earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies from Limestone College in 2019, and in December of 2023 Paige would have completed a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona.

Paige was first employed by the South Carolina Department of Education, South Carolina Department of Social Services, Florida Department of Children and Family Services and as an Instructional Assistant at Eau Claire High School. She was currently employed as a Special Education Assistant at Ridgeview High School in Blythewood, SC.

In her early years she attended Gill Creek Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Samuel Lee with whom she shared fond memories. In her spare time, Paige enjoyed spending quality time with her children. As a devoted mother she loved each of her children individually and collectively. She knew each child’s unique strengths, weaknesses and talents. Her special bond with each child allowed her to guide them through each of life's new experiences. Paige’s focus was not only on her children but on special needs children as well. She possessed a gift of sensitivity for meeting each of their needs. She was especially passionate about the field of Autism because she had an autistic child of her own and wanted to spread awareness.

Paige was preceded in death by her brother Robert Gene Sanders, III.

She leaves behind to cherish and preserve special memories her children: daughter Zaniya Monay Felder of Fayetteville, North Carolina, son Michael Ryan Felder age 9 of Columbia, South Carolina, son Colin Liam Felder age 8 of Columbia, South Carolina, and daughter Jordyn Lily Felder age 5 also of Columbia, South Carolina; her mother Laverne Sanders of Columbia, South Carolina; her father Robert Gene Sanders, Jr. of Newberry, South Carolina; her sister Brooke McKenzie Sanders of Charlotte, North Carolina; her maternal grandmother Lillie Mae Gallman of Newberry, South Carolina; her paternal grandmother Dorothy Lou Sanders also of Newberry, South Carolina; a special aunt and godmother Doris and uncle Cedric Harrison of Irmo, South Carolina; aunt Connie Gallman of Newberry, South Carolina; aunt Katherine Sanders of Edgewater, Florida; uncle Anthony Sanders of Newberry South Carolina; special first cousins Brianna (Justin) Brown and Kaitlin Harrison of Irmo, South Carolina; and devoted lifetime friend Tia (Charles) McDonald and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
