John Earl Herbert, Jr.

Mr. John Earl Herbert, Jr. was born in Newberry, South Carolina, to John Earl Herbert, Sr. and the late Floree Sims.  He entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Herbert was predeceased by a sister, Betty Elkins and a brother, William Sims.

He is survived by his father, John Earl Herbert, Sr.(Deborah); sons, Kendrick Blackwell of Newberry, SC and DeVante' Stewart of Union, SC; sisters, Carolyn Kinard and Flora Sims both of Newberry, SC, Cheryl Johnson of Clinton, SC, Eunitha Gilliam (Anthony) of Blythewood, SC, Kendra Wright and Marlin (Teddy) Warren both of Irmo, SC; brothers, Howard Earl Sims, Floyd Thomas Sims, Sammy Sims and Michael Sims all of Newberry, SC; Jamie Wright (Lisa) of Charlotte, NC, Danny Wright (Melinda) of  Newberry, SC, Kelvin Wright (Trina) of Irmo, SC, Anthony Wright of Blythewood, SC, Anthony Dandy of Laurens, SC, Antwon Washington of Prosperity and Jeremy Robertson of Columbia, SC; five aunts, five uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 18, 2022 11:00 AM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.  Public viewing will be on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM  at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.  A mask is required to enter the funeral home.
