Horace Swittenburg, Jr.

Elder Horace Swittenburg, Jr., 71, of Newberry S.C. Carolina transitioned into eternal rest on March 29, 2024. Horace was born in Newberry SC to the late Maudie Bee and Horace Swittenburg, Sr.

Elder Horace Swittenburg was a faithful member of New Covenant Christian Center Church. He was an integral part of the Church. After giving his life to the Lord he worked tirelessly in service to his God and his church. Being ordained a Deacon and eventually an Elder under the leadership of Pastors Andrew and Dr. Yvonne Commodore.

He had many hobbies and sports including our local High School and Newberry College athletics, listening to music, the bible on cd, and was an avid T.V. watcher.

He is survived by brother, Eddie James Coleman and niece, Dianna Coleman. To his friends he held near to his heart Elders Clayton and Shirley Long and Elder Sharon Fields. He leaves to mourn family, good neighbors and friends.

A Service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home, Newberry, South Carolina.  Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery.
