Hajj Hamid Abdussabur

Hajj Hamid Abdussabur was born to the late Jack Brown and the late Sadie Mosley Brown.  He passed away on March 8, 2023.

He attended Benjamin Franklin High School of  North Philadelphia. Hamid was a Masjid As-Salaam Mosque Supporter of the Strong End School where he served as a Board Trustee.

Hamid was predeceased by brothers Wilbert Brown, Gilbert Brown, and Willie Brown; sisters, Millie Ann Brown and Earlene Powell.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Mary Daniel Abdussabur; son, Paul (Genese) Brown of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Stacey (Njie) Barka of Middletown, CT, Nicole Brown of Spartanburg, Tamara Forrest and LaWanda (Veronica) Hartwell, both of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren, Brittany (Clarence) Laster, Ronald Taylor, LaTerra (Kameron) Garlington, Rodriquez Johnson, Shase Barka, LaTaryn Johnson, Carolyn Brown, Kennedy Morrison, Julien Forrest, Jalen Forrest, and Jillian Forrest; ten great-grandchildren; sisters-in law and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the Salaam Cemetery, 2610 Landis Road, Winnsboro, South Carolina.
