Mrs. Gloria Ann Maybin Hall was born in Newberry, South Carolina to Laura Mae Hunter Maybin and the late Eugene Maybin, Sr. She entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Prisma Health Hillcrest Hospital.
Mrs. Hall was a member of Bethlehem Grove Baptist Church where she was a Missionary. She was a former Sunday School Secretary, Vice President of the Gospel Choir and a Trustee at Welch Zion Baptist Church. She was also a former member of the Inspirational Mass Choir and the Women's Missionary Society at Mt. Moriah AME Church.
Mrs. Hall was a graduate of Newberry High School and AMTC Training Center, Kansas City, MI. She worked in the Transportation Department with the School District of Newberry County.
Mrs. Hall was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Roberta P. Hall and father-in-law, Johnnie W. Hall, Sr.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband, Johnnie W. Hall, Jr.; mother, Laura Mae Hunter Maybin; children, Johnnie W. Hall III (Tammy) of Chapin, SC, Tameka Garrett (Tony) of Greer, SC Akeeves Hall (Jeanette) of Mauldin, SC and K. AnTwan Hall of Silverstreet, SC; siblings, Willie Jean Maybin of Prosperity, SC, Eugene Maybin Jr. (Irene), Joseph Maybin (Donna) and Peggy Maybin all of Newberry, SC; grandchildren, Westley, Kwasi, Nia, Zahirah, Tristin, Londyn, Akeeves Jr., Cameron, Selè, and Ariana; two great-grandchildren, uncles, Willie Frank Hunter of Newark, NJ and Edward Hunter (Evon) of Newberry, SC; aunts, Lonnie Bee Jackson and Louise Hunter-Griffin both of Newberry, SC; special niece, Alexus Henderson, devoted friend, Sis. Sara Deshields, caregiver, Elaine Alexander, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Belmont Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
