Mrs. Dorothy Williams Wicker was born in Prosperity, SC on October 18, 1952 to the late Vance Cannon and the late Willie Mae Williams Wise. She entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, April 19, 2024 at her home.
Mrs. Wicker attended Stonewall Holiness Church in Chapin, SC. She retired from Weisz Graphics in Chapin, SC.
In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her two sisters, Gladys Reeder and Virginia Nance; two brothers, Curtis Williams Jr., Ricky Williams and Brady Lee Cannon.
Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious memories include her husband of 55 years, Charles F. Wicker, one daughter, Glenda Kinard (London) of Gilbert, SC; one son, Freddie M. Wicker (Marilyn) of Gilbert, SC; four grandchildren, Stanton Wicker, Dominique (Crystal) Wicker, Keyundra Gadsden, and Kornesha Kinard, all of Prosperity, SC; 10 great-grandchildren; one god daughter, Cynthia "Chante" Williams; six sisters, Elizabeth Dewalt, Jonelle Williams, Maggie Williams, and Teresa Williams all of Prosperity, SC, Eva Releford (Terron) of Columbia, SC, and Margaret Ferguson (Michael) of Fountain Inn, SC; one aunt, Betty Ann Kinard, one brother-in-law, David Wicker; eight sisters-in-law, Mattie Dorley, Mary S. Funderburk, Marion Mayers, Annette Dreher, Ruby Dreher, Gwenette Dreher, Shirley Wicker and Rebecca Hall (Donnell); and a host of nieces, including a devoted niece, Tracie Sligh, and nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Newberry Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
