Deloris (Boyd) Jones

Mrs. Deloris Boyd Jones was born February 17, 1940 in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Jessie R. Boyd and the late Maude R. Boyd.  She entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, November 14, 2022 at White Oak Manor-Newberry.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Mt Moriah AME Church for many years.  She was also a member of Women's Home Aide Society #23.  Mrs. Jones retired from B & F Restaurant after many years of service.

Mrs. Jones enjoyed spending time with her family.  She was married to the late Sylvester A. Jones for 43 years.  She was also predeceased by siblings, Elizabeth Boyd Gallman, Sedebra Boyd, Terry Boyd, Alice B. Johnson and Johnnie B. Boyd.

Cherishing her memory are her devoted sister, Bonnie Faye Holley of Newberry, SC, sisters, Shirley B. Rutherford of Pomaria, SC, Bertha Kessler (Collins) of Little Mountain, SC, Mattie Pearl Williams of Newberry, SC, Annette Kinsler (Robert) and Martha Boyd both of Prosperity, SC; brothers, Willie R. Boyd (Arnetta) of Newberry, SC and James M. Boyd of Silverstreet, SC;  a host of nieces and nephews including devoted nephews, Tampa I. Boyd, Jessie "Boo" Boyd and Zachary Boyd, brother-in-law, Robert Cook of Lexington, SC and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church with burial to follow in Mt. Moriah AME Church cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel. A mask or face covering is required to enter the funeral home.
