Claude Eugene Gray

Mr. Claude Eugene Gray was born in Newberry, South Carolina to Rosemary D. Newman and the late Roland Gray, Jr.  He entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Mr. Gray was a graduate of Newberry High School and Piedmont Technical College.  He was employed as a truck driver for over 30 years and at one time worked with Newberry EMS.

Mr. Gray was predeceased by his sister, Barbara A. Gray.

Mr. Gray is survived by his mother, Rosemary D. Newman; brothers, Timothy Gray of Washington, DC, Charles Hare and William Mosley both of Newberry, SC; sister-in-law, Marva A. Gray, a host of cousins, family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow at Newberry Memorial Gardens.  Public viewing will be on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.  A mask or face covering is required to enter the funeral home.
