Obituary
Mrs. Christine G. Boyd was born in Newberry, South Carolina to the late David Gray, Sr. and the late Nellie Gray. She passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Boyd was a former member of St. John Baptist Church and Bush River Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member Women's Home Aide Society #42. She was a graduate of Gallman High School and Greenville Business College.
Mrs. Boyd enjoyed spending quality time with her family and watching sports.
Mrs. Boyd was predeceased by brothers, David Gray, Jr., Baby Gray and Charles Gray, her mother-in-law, Rosa Boyd and father-in-law, Jessie Boyd.
Mrs. Boyd is survived by her husband, Taff Boyd; daughters, Jacqueline D. Boyd (Zachary Bates) and Cassandra L. Singley (Aaron); brothers, Goldberg Gray and Plato Grey (Narvis); grandchildren, Jasmine Bates (Brittany), Lashondra Cummings, LaPorsha Boyd and Jarious Singley, six sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Bush River Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Newberry Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will be on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel. A balloon released will be held after the viewing at the family's home 415 Livingston Road, Pomaria, SC.
