Bernice Virginia Clark

Miss Bernice Virginia Clark, age 79, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at White Oak Manor Newberry.

Miss Clark was born in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Jim and Mildred K. Clark.  She gave her life to Christ at an early age.  She was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church where she served as an usher, a member of the gospel choir for a period of time, she served and was a faithful member of the kitchen committee and served as the treasurer of the Missionary Auxiliary.  She was also a member of Women's Home Aide Society #2.  Miss Clark was employed with Newberry County Memorial Hospital for 43 years.  She was a graduate of Gallman High School.

Miss Clark was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Willie and Raymond Clark.

Those who celebrate her life and loving memories include her sisters, Mamie and Mattie Shippy, three brothers, James (Carol, J. D. (Pearl) and Jimmy (Alice) Shippy; two devoted sisters-in-law, Bessie Clark and Dorothy (Jerome) Glymph, two dedicated 1st cousins, Harold and John (Jessie) Reeder, a host of nieces, nephews, great and -great nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends who all loved her dearly.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.  Viewing will be on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
