Willie Eddie Penny, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Willie Eddie "Bimbo" Penny, Jr., age 56, will be conducted on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM at New Enoree Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Penny passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Palmetto Health Richland. Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Willie Eddie Penny, Sr. and the late Jessie Lee Smith Glasgow.  He was a member of New Enoree Baptist Church.

He was predeceased by his step-father, James W. Glasgow; daughter, Chasity Nicole Penny; brothers, Robert J. Penny, Sr. and Johnny B. Reeder; sisters, Teanotteleon Thornhill and Valarie Clark.

Surviving are his daughter, Alexis Yvonne Penny-Mays of Irmo, SC; sons, Christopher Leneer Penny of Kershaw, SC and Juan Codell Penny of Kingstree, SC; sisters, Velvet Ann Penny, Emily Yvonne Glasgow, Concentina Penny, Yolanda Abney, Sharon Suber (Ray Charles) and Vinnie Hunter (Wallace) all of Newberry, SC; Teresa Kinard of Joanna, SC; brothers, William Benjamin Glasgow of Newberry, SC and Willie Edward Penny of Tampa, FL; grandmother, Edith Glasgow of Newberry, SC; six grandchildren, four uncles including devoted uncle, Wyman Burton of Newberry, SC; three aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
