Vallerie Tewanda Clark

Funeral services for Ms. Vallerie Tewanda Clark will be conducted on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Ms. Clark passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Palmetto Health Richland. Born in Newberry County, she was the biological daughter of Anna Kinard and Willie Penny. She was the adopted daughter of Sandra Joyce Curtis and Miller Curtis. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and Women's Home Aid Society #27. Vallerie attended the public school system of Newberry County and graduated with an Associates degree from Phillip Junior College in Columbia, South Carolina. Vallerie was predeceased by both set of parents, brothers, Tony Kinard, Timothy Kinard and Robert James Penny. Cherishing fond memories are eleven sisters, Theresa Kinard, Harriet Kinard, Trollie Kinard, Kimma Kinard, Amy Kinard, Vinnie Hunter (Bo), Sharon Suber (Ray Charles), Linda Abney (Bob), Tia Penny, Concentina Penny and Velma Penny; two brothers, Reggie Wicker and Willie Penny, Jr.; four aunts, Lois Williams, Debra Williams, Laura Kinard and Elmira Caughman; one uncle, Ronnie Burton; a host of nieces and nephews to include one devoted niece, Myesha Wicker and devoted nephew, Shakeem Bethea and numerous other relatives and friends.
