While I am sadden to learn that you’re mourning the loss of your beloved Sylvester, it saddens our loving God even more. No doubt, you have many fond memories which will resurface from time to time. And because you do have memories, certainly shows that almighty God has memories as well. Therefore, with full confidence you can take comfort in His word which shows that He longs to restore life to all those in His memory (John 5: 28, 29, Job 14:13-15). Besides from the encouraging messages at this site, you will also find a wealth of faith strengthening support at www.jw.org. Please accept my condolences at this most distressing time.

Sadden to learn of Sylvester's death. Although I had come to know him only in the last few years, my first impression was that he was a person who loved and enjoyed life! Whenever I saw him, he was always smiling and joking. In the Bible at 1 Corinthians 15:26, the Bible calls death "the last enemy." Death is called an enemy because it breaks into our life and robs us of those we love. But our Creator, Jehovah God, promises a solution for that enemy death for the end of the verse states "it (death) will be brought to nothing." Yes by means of the ransom of His Precious Son Jesus, Acts 24:15 assures us "There is going to be a resurrection..." So as you grieve Sylvester's death, may the sure hope of the resurrection bring you comfort and peace as you await the beautiful resurrection promise from our Heavenly Father who cannot lie. You have my deepest sympathy.
