Ruthie Mae Pearson

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruthie Mae Trapp Pearson will be conducted on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Gethsemane Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Pearson passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Palmetto Health Richland.  Born in Blair, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Claude Trapp, Sr. and the late Annie Pearl Kincade Trapp.  Mrs. Pearson was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.  She was a 1965 graduate of McCrorey-Liston High School and retired from Fairfield County School District.

Mrs. Pearson was predeceased by her husband, James Robert Pearson, two brothers, Bobby Ray Trapp and Eddie James Trapp.

Surviving are one son, Derrick Pearson of Newberry, SC; three daughters, Pamela Pearson of Pomaria, SC; Tara Pearson of Blair, SC and Letecia Pearson McKevie (Jerome) of Graniteville, SC; step-son, Keith O. Lake of Newberry, SC; four grandchildren, Ty'shane Meetze reared in the home; Malik Pearson of Little Mountain, SC; Kriston Glymph of Graniteville, SC and DeErica Pearson of Newberry, SC; one sister, Janet Moses (Jimmy) of Newberry, SC; five brothers, Claude Trapp, Jr. of Blair, SC; Douglas Trapp (Patricia), Willie Trapp (Nancy) of Newberry, SC; Charles Trapp (Mischele) of Blair, SC and Robert Trapp (Denise) of Pomaria,  SC; two aunts, Alice Werts of Columbia, SC; Elizabeth Jeter of Newberry, SC; two uncles, Marvin Kincade (Elizabeth) of Philadelphia, PA; Herman Robinson (Bessie) of Pomaria, SC; one great-aunt, Flora Trapp Little of Pineville, SC; devoted cousin, Patsy J. Sims (James) of Newberry, SC; sister-in-law, Diane D. Trapp of Blair, SC; loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
