Gloria Jones

Funeral services for Ms. Gloria Jones, age 66, will be conducted on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Moriah AME Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Ms. Jones passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Palmetto Health Baptist.  Born in Richland County, she was the daughter of the late Dave Jones and the late Viola Williams Jones.  She was a member Mt. Moriah AME Church and Women's Home Aid Society #59.  Ms. Jones was a graduate of C. A. Johnson High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina.  She was employed with Providence Hospital, Baptist Hospital and Hospice until her illness in 1995.

Ms. Jones was predeceased by two children, Jerome Hudson, Jr. and Tuesday C. Hudson.

Surviving are three brothers, Danny (Nancy) Jones of Morrisville, NC; Bruce (Yvonne) Jones of Avanal, NJ; and Dave Jones, Jr. of Newark, NJ; one sister, Judy J. (David C.) Grant of Columbia, SC; devoted niece, Engrid L. Grant of Columbia, SC; nieces, Lisa, Shana and Jemima Jones all of Rahlway, NJ; loving nephew, David C. Grant, Jr. and cherished great-nephew, Darrin C. Grant both of Columbia, SC; loving cousin, Derek (Kaleida) Williams of Houston, TX; devoted friends, Doris Jones of West Columbia, SC; Geraldine Caldwell of Newberry, SC, and a host of loving relatives and friends.
