Violetta, Shirley and Family, our thoughts and prayers are with you as I remember our growing up years together. I hope it helps to know that God is holding Cousin Doretha in His arms and holding all of you in His heart. She was such a kind, sweet, adorable lady.

Shirley, I am so sorry for the loss of your Mother, may her soul rest in peace. I remember meeting your Mother for the first time at Thelma's house many years ago and saw her several times afterwards - she was such a lovely person. May God bless you and your family.

My condolences to your family members during this most difficult time. I would like to share a scripture that has strengthened me when I lost a loved one. I pray it will soothe the pain you are feeling and give you the strength to help you cope. Isaiah 41:10 says: "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not gaze about, for I am your God. I will fortify you. I will really help you. I will really keep fast hold of you with my right hand of righteousness. What happens when you die?
