I feel blessed to have had the pleasure of knowing Brenda for nearly 20 years. She is one of the funniest, generous, talented, giving, honest women I know. Her beauty (inside and out) shown brightly and gave the world something to aspire to, especially in her valiant fight against cancer. I will miss her beating me at Words with Friends, too! Brenda was and is an inspiration to me--I first met her during a production of Purlie Victorious, and as a new actor she was very kind and inclusive to me. Donovan was about four years old. As the years passed, I had the occasion to work with her in a few shows at Chatauqua. I was sad when Bill and she pulled up stakes and moved to North Carolina, but I know she was very happy there on the farm. It is very hard to consider her in the past tense, but I guess she never will really be in the past tense. Much love to her husband Bill, a true perfect match for this lovely lady. I will miss you dear Brenda.

I had the pleasure of meeting Brenda when I was 15 and we performed in 'A Member of the Wedding' together. She was so kind, always thoughtful and quick to give me help when I needed.

Dear Brenda, You fought the fight with everything you had just like you did everything in your life. . I will always remember and think of you when I see a play or go to the theatre.
