Mrs. Wilmertine Barron-Williams was born in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Willie J. Barron and the late Clemetine Eleazer Barron. She passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023 at her home.
Mrs. Williams was a member of Providence AME Church. She was a graduate of Chapin High School, Benedict College and Norrell Healthcare Nursing School. She was a retired LPN.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, James C. Williams; children, Tywanda McKibbon (Ken) of Leesville, SC, Lamar Williams of Columbia, SC, Curtis Williams (Courtney) of Fountain Inn, SC, Kali Williams of Newberry, SC, Eryka D. Singleton of Columbia, SC and step-son, Kelvin Bowers of Greenville, SC; sisters, Juanita Green (Kenneth) of Charlotte, NC, Tamera Barron of Columbia, SC and Florene Toland (Henry) of Little Mountain, SC; brothers, Kenneth Barron of Columbia, SC, William Barron of Greensboro, NC, George White (Princetta) of Chapin, SC, Paul White of Columbia, SC and John Thomas Barron of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren, one aunt, God-daughter, Antionette Caughman, nine sisters-in-law, eight brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Providence AME Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
