Warren Gerald Harding

Mr. Warren Gerald Harding was born in Manhattan, New York to Lou Ella Goggans Bartelle and the late Charley H. Harding.  He passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at his home.

He was a graduate of Thomas Snell Weaven High School, Hartford, CT in 1978, and in the same year after graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps.

Mr. Harding was predeceased by his grandparents, Buford T. Harding and Ella D. Miller, Welton F. Goggans and Eunice C. Goggans, his brother Charley "Skip" Harding.

Mr. Harding is survived by his mother, Lou Ella G. Bartelle, devoted fiancee', Glenda Houston, sons, DaWorin Jerell Harding (Aisha) of East Hartford, CT, Xavier Zy'Won Harding of  Newberry, SC, daughters, Shenice Michelle Harding of Bloomfield, CT, Brittne' Tane Harding of Hartford, CT and Tameka "Shay" Woodard of Newberry, SC, brothers, Jonathan A. Harding of Newberry, SC, Jeffrey R. Harding of Manchester, CT, Herman Bartelle of Hartford, CT, Corey Bartelle (Karen) of Newberry, SC, Marc Harding (Darlene) of Meriden, CT and Terrence Harding (Lisa) of Middletown, CT, Shawn K. Brown of S. Minneapolis, MN, sisters, Charlita Harding (Johnnie) of Hartford, CT, Kim E. Bartelle (Manny) of Newberry, SC, Melody Harding of San Bernadino, CA. April Harding of Signal Hill, CA, Heather Harding-Miller of Inglewood, CA, Holly A. Harding of Bloomfield, CT, Crystal Harding-Jones of Waldorf, MD, Antionette Holmes (Gregory) of Bronx, NY and Sabrina Vereen of Queens, NY, aunts, Mattie Martin (Johnny) and Ella Mae Harding-Hemphill (Joseph), grandchildren, DaWorin J. Harding, Jr., Telik David Walker, D'marion Kinard and Aniyla Woodard, God children, Malcolm Cordell Malone and Tatyana Carter, a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, devoted friends, Sonny Frank, Malcolm Malone, Monique Artis and Garfield Fairweather.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Bethlehem Baptist.  Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.  Public viewing will be on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
