Varnel Brooks

Funeral Services for Mr. Varnel Brooks, age 68, will be conducted on  Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 2:00PM at Hannah AME Church..            

Mr. Brooks passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC.  Born in Newberry, SC, he was the son of the late Rachel Catherine Williams Brooks.

Mr. Brooks  retired from Kraft-Heinz.  He attended New Life in Christ Church and was a member of Men of Faith.

Surviving are his daughter, Dana Catherine Brooks of Piedmont, SC;  sons, Vernon Christopher Brooks and Jeffery Todd Brooks, both of Newberry, SC and Malcome Jamaal Jones of Prosperity, SC;  brothers, Eugene Brooks of Newberry, SC; Earl Brooks of Carlisle, SC and Bernard Brooks of Columbia, SC ; six grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law; 1 daughter-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
