Troy Wadsworth

Graveside services for Mr. Troy Wadsworth will be conducted on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Fairview Baptist Church.

Mr. Troy Wadsworth, also known as “Funk”, was born on July 28, 1965 in Newberry County, South Carolina to the late Annie Mae Cooper-Hutcherson (Robert Hutcherson) and the late Earnest Lee Elkins.  Mr. Wadsworth was called home on Saturday, September 19, 2020.

Troy was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.  He was full of life and enjoyed being a faithful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.  He was employed at Newberry Housing Authority in the Maintenance Department.

He was predeceased by his brother, Olander Hutcherson and sister-in-law, Carolyn Hutcherson.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious memories are his life companion of fifteen plus years, Trollie Kinard; sons, Trey Wadsworth and Chris Gallman, both of Newberry, SC ; daughters, Alexis Ruff, Wyteshia Kinard, Tyversa Kinard, Lyversa Kinard, Ashanti Kinard, all of Newberry, SC; seven grandchildren- four that was raised in the home, Kaliyah Kinard, Kysen Kinard, Honesty Kinard and Haivynn Williams; sisters, Helen Jackson(Roger), Melissa Graham(Kentral), Shirley Cannon (Richard), all of Newberry, SC; brothers, Bruce Wadsworth (Priscilla) of Blair, SC; Willie Hutcherson(Mary), James Wadsworth, Randy Hutcherson, Tracy Hutcherson and Roy Wadsworth, all of Newberry, SC; Wilbert Garmany (Linda) of Whitmire, SC; nine aunts; four uncles; caregivers, Tracy, Dee, Patrick Omalley; devoted friend, Rev. Counts; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. 

All in attendance, please wear a mask or face covering and practice social distancing.
