Thomas William(TC) Albert Chaplin, Jr

Mr. Thomas William Albert Chaplin Jr., age 85, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020 at his home.

Born in Pomaria, SC he was the son of the late Thomas Chaplin Sr. and the late Ethel Dawkins Chaplin. He attended Newberry County School. Mr. Chaplin was an employee of Carlisle Finishing Co.and retired after 35 years. 

He was well known to many by "TC", and if you knew him you knew that fishing, hunting was his life. And if you ever needed him, he would be right there and ON TIME. 

'TC" was predeceased by sister Angie Chaplin Stephens; brothers Sammy Chaplin and Eddie James Chaplin Sr.

Surviving are his wife, Helen Jane Chaplin; two daughters, Jannie Chaplin (Sue) of Spartanburg SC, and Helen Jackson (Roger) of Newberry, SC; four sons, James Garmany, Robert Garmany (Shirley) of Newberry, S.C., Wilbert Garmany (Linda) and Tyrone Mayers of Chapin, SC; three sisters-in-law Rose Garmany, Veretta Garmany, Dorathy Gilliam of Pomaria, SC. two brothers-in-law Frank Garmany (Gloria) of Columbia, SC. Bobby Garmany of Jacksonville, Fl; four grandchildren reared in the home Micheal Bates, Trinitee Hunter, Infinity Hunter, Katayvia Davis, Keyanna Gallman and a great grand Taylor Carter; a devoted granddaughter and caregiver Yolanda Garmany of Columbia SC; Devoted friends, Lee Tucker, Alfred Walker, Bosie Lee Shelton, and Freddie Mac Johnson. 10 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will sadly miss him. 

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Newberry Memorial Gardens . The family request those in attendance to wear mask or face covering and practice social distancing.
