Sudie M. Wise

Sudie M. Wise was born in Prosperity, South Carolina in 1936, to the late Elnora Abner and the late William Wise.  She went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2022, at the age of 86. 

Ms. Wise was predeceased by sisters, Hattie Bowers and Minnie Allen, brothers, Willie Wise, C. L. Wise and Evans Wise.

Ms. Wise moved to New York City where she worked as a Letter Carrier with the U. S. Postal Service.

She is survived by her brother, Henry Toland and sister, Lillie Mae Lindsey, her niece/caregiver, Judy Bowers and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Moriah AME Church, 1628 Ira Kinard Road, Prosperity, SC. 29127.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing will be on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.  A mask or face covering is required to enter the funeral home.
