Sandra Melissa Wise

Ms. Sandra Melissa Wise, age 53, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

Ms. Wise was born in Newberry, South Carolina to the late James Jimmy Wise and the late Mary Alice Brown.  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she was a member of the Usher Board Choir and the Kitchen Committee.  She was also a member of Women's Home Aide Society #59.

Ms. Wise was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Fred and Dottie L. Brown; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Naomi Wise.

Surviving are daughters, Lydia (Kelton) Wise and Alexis (Paul) Wise; son, Josiah Wise; brothers, James Arthur Wise all of Newberry, SC; Harold Scott of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren, Demetrious Wilson of the home; Keyonna Langford, Jada Wise and Ja Marley Thompson all of Newberry, SC; eight aunts, Evangelist Willie L. Fant, Annie Bell Brown, Yolanda Brown, Jessie L. Davenport, Mary L. Wise, Thomasina Longshore, Anna Kay Wise and Mattie Wise; four uncles, Thomas Wise, Jr., Willie Wise, Virgil Wise and James Wise; special cousins, Jettie Payne and Shirley Williams; special friends, Ann Tuggle Kinard, Patti Sue Williams and Angela White, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Newberry Memorial Gardens.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
