Mr. Samuel Wroten, Jr. known by family and friends as "Man", was born in Manhattan, New York to the late Samuel Wroten, Sr. and the late Elenora Green Allen. He entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Lexington Medical Center.
Mr. Wroten was a member of St. Matthew AME Church and a retired truck driver. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Mr. Wroten is survived by daughters, Tashia Wadsworth (Chris) of Chappells, SC, Sonya Roundtree (Charles) of Newberry, SC and Chimeka Wroten of Chappells, SC; sons, Keith Boyd (Monica) of Newberry, SC and Samuel Wroten, III of Chappells, SC; sister, Evelyn Dewalt of Newberry, SC; brothers, Horace Green (Elizabeth) of River View, FL and Authur Green (Cassie) of Whitmire, SC; eighteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Little River Baptist Church. Burial will follow at St. Matthew AME Church cemetery. Public viewing will be on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
