Obituary
Mr. Ronnie Penny was born in Prosperity, South Carolina to the late James A. L. Penny and the late Helen Williams Penny. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Lexington Medical Center.
Mr. Penny enjoyed attending church at Antioch Baptist Church. He loved playing softball.
Mr. Penny was predeceased by sisters, Rosa Lee Dorley and Elaine Penny; brothers, James Penny, Jr. and Johnny B. Penny.
Mr. Penny is survived by sisters, Gussie M. Penny, Betty M. Penny and Patsy A. Penny all of Columbia, SC; Brenda Kay Penny, Karen D. Penny (JT Wicker of Newberry, SC and Leslie Penny of NC; brother, Jake Penny of Greenwood, SC; three aunts, 2 uncles, one sister-in-law, one brother-in-law, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Penny will be conducted on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Shiloh AME Church cemetery. Public viewing will be on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
