Robert Louis Means

Mr. Robert Louis “Bobby” Means, age 57, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at White Oak Manor, Newberry, SC.

Bobby was born in New York, NY.  He was the only child of Mr. Robert Means and Mrs. Mearline Means.  He was educated in New York.  Bobby moved to Newberry, SC, in 2000 after the passing of his father.  Bobby was happy, loving and kind.  Bobby never met a stranger.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish loving memories include his Aunt Aurelia Means of Washington, SC; first cousins:  Odelle (Linda) Means of Columbia, SC; Arthree (Rev. George) Dixon of Washington, DC; Willa Brown, Hazel Starks, Ernest(Margaret) Singley and James Otis Means all of Newberry, SC; David V. Gray, Jr. of Boston, MA; Gerald (Linda) Means of Alexandria, VA; Anthony Means and Denise (John) Means Cotton both of Washington, DC; Evangeline Means of FL and a host of other cousins and friends.  Bobby will also be missed by the loving and caring staff of White Oak Manor who cared and nurtured him for almost two decades.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Belmont Baptist Church.   All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.  Public viewing will be on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
