Quanda (Vanlue) Hopkins

Quanda V. Hopkins, age 59, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Earline V. Long and the late McKinley Whitener.

She was a devoted member of Love Chapel Holiness Church and Love Lighthouse Ministries. She was a CNA at J.F. Hawkins for ten years. She also worked at J.P. Stevens for over twelve years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, companion and friend.

Ms. Hopkins is predeceased by her husband, James C. Hopkins, Sr.; and son, Nicholas D. Vanlue.

Those left to cherish precious and loving memories are her children, Ineisha Vanlue of Whitmire, SC, Jaquale Hopkins of Union, SC, James Hopkins of Swansea, SC, and Tiffany Hopkins of Whitmire, SC; brothers, Laval “Randy” Epps of Whitmire, SC, Leon Whitener (Sandra) of Newberry, SC, Joe Brown (Susie) of Whitmire, SC, Timothy Vanlue (Lisa) of Jenkinsville, SC, Kelvin “Coop” Whitener of Whitmire, SC, and David L. Epps of Whitmire, SC; sisters, Tina Epps of Newberry, SC, and Michelle Holmes (James) of Tom River, NJ; grandchildren, Fallon Higgins, Frederick Higgins, Jr., Jameson Hopkins, Justice Hopkins and Diamond Livingston; special family, Kanaga.Wise, Demetrius Livingston, Jamie Miller and Cathy Vanlue; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
