Placido Pena Reta

Mr. Placido Pena Reta passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020 at his home.

Born on October 5, 1974 in Cotaxtla, Veracruz, Mexico to the late Pedro Pena Moreno and Lorenza Reta Molina.

He was employed in the landscaping and tree cutting industry.  He attended St. Mark's Catholic Church in Newberry, SC.

Surviving are his wife, Blanca Iris Sanchez Aguilera of the home, daughter, Jessica Pena Sanchez of Newberry, SC; sons, Omar Pena Sanchez, Orlando Pena Sanchez and Alex Pena Sanchez all of Newberry, SC; sisters, Marcelina Pena Reta, Paula Pena Reta, Isabel Pena Reta, Maria Antonia Pena Reta, Josefina Pena Reta and Cevera Pena Reta, all of Mexico and Manvela Pena Reta of Columbia, SC; brothers, Rosenda Pena Reta, Modesto Pena Reta, Ignacio Pena Reta and Agustin Pena Reta, all of Mexico; and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 4:00 PM at St. Mark's Catholic Church. The family request those in attendance to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
