Paul Herbert

Mr. Paul Herbert, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.

He was born in Prosperity, South Carolina to the late Allen Frank Herbert and the late Virginia Hair Herbert.  Mr. Herbert was a member of Hannah A. M. E. Church and the Eight Baller's Pool Club.  He was a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School and a former employee of Valmont Industries.         

Mr. Herbert was predeceased by siblings, Azalee Herbert, Mary Bookman, Adam Herbert, Virnelson Herbert and Mike Herbert.

Surviving are his devoted wife, Beverly Goggans Herbert; sisters, Betty (Kenny) Lyles of Pomaria, SC; Thelma Herbert of Lexington, SC; brothers, James F. (Anna K.) Herbert, John E. (Deborah) Herbert of Prosperity, SC; Raymond (Linda) Herbert, Calvin (Cathy) Herbert of Newberry, SC; mother-in-law, Fannie M. Goggans of Newberry, SC; sister-in-law, Belinda Rikard of Newberry, SC; devoted friends, Richard Smith, Carl Lyles, Mario Agnew, Joseph Maybin and many more devoted friends, nieces, nephews, God children and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Newberry Memorial Gardens.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.  Public viewing will be on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
