Patsy (Elkins) Ruff

Mrs. Patsy E. Ruff was born in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Andrew "Boise" Glymph and the late Mary Elkins.  She passed away on Sunday, Mary 7, 2023 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Ruff gave her life to Christ at an early age.  She was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir.  She was also a member of Women's Home Aide Society #10 and attended Newberry County Council on Aging.  Mrs. Ruff was a graduate of Newberry High School class of 1972.

Mrs. Ruff enjoyed going to church, singing, cross-word puzzles, going out to eat, watching gospel tapes, loved watching sports, reading the Bible and spending time with family.

Mrs. Ruff was predeceased by her son, Dwayne Elkins and brother, Sherman Elkins.

Mrs. Ruff is survived by her husband, Robert Ruff; sons, Brandon Domaine Ruff and Goldie Maurice Dean both of Newberry, SC; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, six aunts, special niece, KeAwana Ruff, one sister-in-law, Lillian Jackson, two brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Fellowship Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing will be on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
