Owens Gorie, Jr.

Mr. Owens Gorie, Jr. was born December 14, 1949 in Little Mountain, SC to the late Owens Gorie, Sr. and the late Annie Grace Young Gorie.  He entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, January 14, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Owens was a United States Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his faithful companion, Barbara Wadsworth; children, T. Gorie of Baltimore, MD, Cynthia Miller and Greta Copeland both of Newberry, SC; Robert Wadsworth of Pomaria, SC,  Maurice Wadsworth of Prosperity, SC and Gregory Wadsworth of Newberry, SC; sister, Joan Black of Nottingham, MD, brothers, Ernest Ray Gorie and James Alvin Gorie both of Baltimore, MD, one aunt, Mary Virginia Gorie, three grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.  All in attendance are required to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
