Nancy Ann (Benson) Wilson

Mrs. Nancy Ann Benson Wilson departed this life on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Nancy was born on November 21, 1955 to the late Mr. Clarence Benson and the late Mrs. Annie Bobb Benson.

Nancy attended Newberry County Schools, and she was employed at ISE America Inc. for over 20 years. Nancy was a faithful member of Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church, and a member of the Women's Aide Society #17.  Nancy was loved by all who knew her. 

Nancy was predeceased by a son Richie Benson and seven siblings. 

Nancy is survived by one son, Cedric Benson (Tyechia Austin) of Newberry, SC, step-daughters, Shante Neal Hatten and Gwendolyn Neal of Newberry, SC; step-son, Travis Davis; two sisters, Gertrude Reed MacManus of Winston Salem, NC and Carrie Brown (John Henry) of Buffalo, NY, two brothers, Joseph Benson of Buffalo, NY and Robert Benson of Clinton, SC, a special sister, Vernette Abrams (Leroy), three grandchildren, Shaheim Benson, Jasmine Wheeler and Kaylin Austin, two sisters-in-law, Sharon Benson and Ann Benson, two devoted friends, Daphne Gary and Mamie Lindsay, special family friend, Gwendy Wheeler; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Newberry Memorial Gardens.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
